Could the Yankees be dealing with an injury to yet another key player?
Gleyber Torres, who leads New York with 38 home runs this season, left Friday’s game against the Blue Jays after falling awkwardly when making a play up the middle.
On the play in question, Torres fielded a ball up the middle, gathered himself to throw, but slipped and oddly stretched out his leg on the play.
this was what they were reacting to.
(I’d like to make a joke about Gleyber getting rid of the ball and not faking an injury to stop the runners from advancing like that punk Muncy but I like Muncy and the replies from those dodgers fans that dont get jokes would suck) pic.twitter.com/o2RpireUTV

He initially stayed in the game, but came out soon after.
Torres is out of the game. See above.

The Yankees have set an MLB record this season with players sent to the injured list and losing Torres would be a massive blow late in the season especially considering they are just a half-game back of the Astros for the best record in baseball and home-field advantage in the playoffs.
